Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

The role

The Public Affairs manager plays a key role in developing and delivering the ACU’s thought leadership and advocacy work and in identifying new opportunities to proactively profile and position the ACU and our diverse network of 500+ members across a range of channels.

Who are we looking for?

You will work with colleagues across the organisation and with our external partners to deliver engaging and impactful public affairs for major activities to strengthen the ACU’s policy advocacy and manage strategic relationships to reach and influence key decision makers and other stakeholders with the work and impact of the ACU and our members.

Using insight and monitoring and working with the Policy and Network Manager to inform and develop the ACU’s policy priorities, you will provide high quality and strategic advice on shaping ACU’s positioning for major events and strategic engagement and produce impactful briefings and written content for senior team members to support the communication of the ACU’s policy priorities both internally, and externally.

Location: London WC1H (We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with 40% of your time per month being office based).
