We are looking for an experienced & ambitious Senior Account Manager or Account Director to lead on high-level strategic consultancy for clients across the pharma, healthtech, digital health, & social care sectors.

Person Specification

  • Strong background in public affairs or communications with a focus on healthcare.
  • Experience in a consultancy working with pharmaceutical clients or in an in-house pharma role.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with the ability to influence at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability to win & retain clients.
  • Well-established or growing network of relevant contacts in healthcare, policy, & life sciences.
  • Collaborative team player, committed to high standards & ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Account Leadership
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality client programmes & campaigns
  • Build & maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, grounded in strategic insight & measurable outcomes
  • Understand client operating environments & provide well-informed, tailored advice.

Project & Campaign Management

  • Take ownership of projects from inception to delivery, ensuring deadlines & budgets are met
  • Plan ahead to ensure seamless delivery, including managing team capacity & workload
  • Lead internal & client meetings with a clear sense of direction & purpose.

Business Development

  • Drive organic growth through account renewals & expansion
  • Lead the development of new business proposals & pitch presentations, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical sector growth.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor & support the development of junior colleagues
  • Provide line management & career development support to junior team members
  • Proactively address performance challenges & identify opportunities for team growth.
