About us

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

This is an exciting time to join Crisis in Scotland. The Scottish Government has taken bold action towards ending homelessness and it is crucial that we all play our part to ensure the ambition is realised. As Senior Policy Officer, you will play a key role in helping to deliver the work of the Scotland Prevention Review Group. Convened by Crisis, the group will identify legal duties needed for local authorities and other public bodies to prevent homelessness in Scotland. You will also work across a range of areas that are integral to ending homelessness, including migrant homelessness, and supporting the development of our wider policy and influencing work.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have solid experience of developing policy positions to support the delivery of policy, research and communications activity. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing policy reports, briefings and consultation responses and able to analyse and deploy statistics. You will also be confident with stakeholder management and able to represent the charity at external meetings.

As a member of the team you will have access to a wide range of employee benefits including:
