The Role

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, the Senior Public Affairs Adviser will be working in the Policy, Public Affairs and Media (PPAM) team, supporting the delivery of ADS campaigns on industrial and political issues, and leading a number of specific projects and events in order to further the trade association’s political reputation and goals.

This role provides the ideal opportunity for someone with a good grounding in public affairs to take the next step in their career as part of a dynamic team in an ever-changing political environment.

The Candidate 

We are looking for a confident self-starter who can demonstrate initiative, has a proactive approach to problem solving and can communicate clearly to internal and external audiences.

You will be working on high-profile projects with senior political and industry stakeholders therefore the role requires someone with excellent people skills and previous experience supporting engagement with parliamentarians.

You will have the relevant public affairs experience coupled with proven professional experience with direct responsibility of managing engagement and building effective working relationships with political stakeholders.

The successful candidate is enthused by politics and current affairs, has excellent knowledge of political processes and high awareness of the UK and EU political context and has the drive to produce results and deliver high quality accurate work to deadline.
