The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority leads the biggest and most complex renovation programme ever seen in the UK. Join us as a Stakeholder Engagement Officer and you could soon be playing a vital support role within our Stakeholder Engagement & Consents team.
A great opportunity to contribute to the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of the programme’s Stakeholder engagement activity, we’ll look to you to help our Project teams engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Indeed, you’ll help ensure that stakeholder issues are addressed in a way that aligns with the programme design and business case, supports the consent process and enhances the quality of stakeholder engagement - all with the aim of obtaining buy-in.
On any given day you might be planning for, and/or attending, a range of engagement activities to support the Projects’ business cases and planning submissions. We’ll also rely on you to support the drafting and implementation of engagement strategies and plans and undertake periodic stakeholder mapping. Providing a secretariat/clerking function for meetings and workshops will be important too, as will drafting responses to stakeholders’ enquiries. Helping to mitigate stakeholder reputational risk, compiling project-specific stakeholder-facing materials, representing the External Engagement Lead at key project meetings and helping with planning consents and general team administration – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.
About you
Relevant experience gained in a stakeholder engagement officer/coordinator/advisor/analyst role on another major programme or large complex projects is essential. You’ll also need a proven ability to write briefing papers and/or engagement plans. Comfortable working on multiple tasks to various deadlines, you have excellent relationship management and presentation skills too. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools would be a plus, as would experience working under scrutiny in a politically sensitive environment, however, these are not ‘must haves’.
We are committed to promoting diversity and to equal opportunities in employment. We are building diverse teams and seek to attract and retain talented individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures to join us on this hugely challenging and important project.
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer 30 days annual leave, a generous pension, discretionary bonus scheme, life assurance and payment of professional membership.
Location
This position is office-based (Victoria) and we operate a hybrid/flexible working model, however you will only be expected to be in the office a maximum of 3 days a week.
