The creation of metro mayors will allow city-regions, across the UK, to have a far louder and more distinct voice than ever before. In the context of Brexit, a Metro Mayor in Liverpool City Region will need to bang the drum for inward investment on the global stage? How can the Metro Mayor help to create the skills and jobs needed to bring real growth and benefits to the region?

Join DevoConnect and Liverpool Downtown in Business for an evening of discussion and debate with speakers presenting their vision of a devolved Liverpool City Region.

Invited speakers include:

  • Steve Rotheram MP, Labour Candidate for Liverpool City Region Mayor
  • Jenny Stewart, Chief Executive, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce
  • Mark Basnett, Executive Director, Liverpool City Region LEP
  • Frank McKenna, Chief Executive of Downtown in Business
  • Barbara Spicer, Chief Executive, Plus Dane (TBC).

The event is held in association with Liverpool Downtown in Business.

The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
