The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) is seeking a Good Money Week Campaign Intern.
The successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative and general tasks to assist the UKSIF Team with their annual ‘Good Money Week’ campaign. Specific tasks will include administrative support for UKSIF-run events, assisting with managing the Good Money Week website and other related communications and social media channels and responding to campaign enquiries.
This post is likely to be of particular interest to a candidate who supports our sustainability and social impact goals and can communicate well with a variety of stakeholders. Good communication and administrative skills, enthusiasm, commitment, sound judgement and the ability to organise yourself are crucial.
Duration: This is a fixed term contract for 5 weeks.
About Good Money Week
Good Money Week, formerly called National Ethical Investment Week, is a campaign to raise awareness of sustainable and responsible finance to help people make good money choices. Good Money Week aims to ensure everyone knows that they have green and ethical options when it comes to their financial decisions.
Good Money Week brings together individuals, financial advisers, charities, faith, community and student groups and financial institutions to raise awareness of the importance of green and ethical investment and finance. Good Money Week 2014 takes place from 19-25 October.
About UKSIF
The UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association supports and promotes responsible investment and other forms of finance that support sustainable economic development, enhance quality of life and safeguard the environment. UKSIF also seeks to ensure that individual and institutional investors can reflect their values in their investments.
Founded in 1991, it has approximately 250 members and affiliates including over 60 asset managers and other financial institutions, together with pension funds, investment consultants, research providers, non-governmental organisations and financial advisers.
The successful candidate will work from our London office in Shoreditch, EC2.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Fast and accurate worker with the ability to manage a variety of tasks, good judgement and attention to detail;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, e-mail and internet;
- Reliable with a pleasant outgoing personality and skills both in co-operating with others and working alone;
- Ability to pick things up quickly and work unsupervised.
Desirable:
- Some events experience - preferably conferences, seminars or webinars;
- Experience in administrative positions, working in an office environment;
- Experience of working in a small office;
- Experience of drupal and social media;
- General knowledge or experience of financial services or corporate social responsibility;
- A relevant degree or qualification.
