Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Our services are standalone or can be blended to provide support where it’s needed, spanning expertise across public affairs, campaigning, media relations, content, creative and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake stakeholder mapping, auditing, research and database production;
  • Plan, organise and attend meetings and public events – both digitally and in person;
  • Draft letters, scripts, reports, briefings and other materials including writing copy and blogs (with attention to grammar, punctuation and spelling) and following various client guidelines on Plain English and tone of voice;
  • Accurate and timely completion of timesheets to support and inform senior team resourcing;
  • Knowledge and awareness of the forecast;
  • Play an active role in internal/external meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Person Specification

  • Positive attitude and proactive eagerness to learn; evidenced by confidence in asking questions when unsure, desire to understand sector they are working in; interest in current events;
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills: proactively and effectively manage and prioritise tasks and consistently deliver accurate and timely work both internally and externally;
  • Ability to travel to public events across the UK;
  • Evidence of consistent commitment to high quality outputs;
  • Acts in accordance with the Copper values at all times.
