Do you want to work as part of a team bringing about meaningful change in the world? Are you interested in making links between faith, policy and politics?
The Joint Public Issues Team works on behalf of the Baptist, Methodist, and United Reformed Churches and the Church of Scotland on issues of justice and peace. This internship offers opportunities to develop skills in research, campaigning and communications, which will enable you to work on a range of issues as part of a dynamic team.
This is a full-time internship for a year paid at the London Living Wage starting in September 2021 and is based at Methodist Church House, near Baker Street, London (as public health guidance permits).
You will work as part of a team in the following areas:
- Maintaining JPIT’s multiple social media channels;
- Contributing to campaigns, and developing supporter engagement for churches;
- Analysing aspects of public policy;
- Researching and drafting briefings.
There will be opportunities for professional and personal learning and development to equip the Intern for employment after their time on the internship.
Revision has been made to ensure that the internship can be enabled remotely and in-person, as public health guidance permits.
