The Coalition for a Digital Economy (Coadec) was founded in 2010 to support legislation and other government policies that foster a vibrant, innovative and sustainable digital economy for Britain. We are a non-profit organisation drawing support from a wide range of members of the UK innovation community, including entrepreneurs, leaders of tech-driven startups and SMEs, inventors and developers, writers and journalists, and many others who believe that the future of Britain lies in the success of its digital economy.

About the Job

After a short abeyance, we are looking for a new Executive Director to re-launch and grow Coadec. This is a highly entrepreneurial role that will be suitable for someone who wants the challenges and rewards of leading all aspects of a high-profile, community-based organisation working at the forefront of digital policy. In addition to general management of the organisation, the job will have two core responsibilities (with the expectation that the Executive Director's time will be split roughly 50-50 between the two):

1.       Policy work. The Executive Director will be responsible for drafting policy papers, consultation responses, blog posts and other communications, along with in-person lobbying efforts and working with Coadec's community to determine policy priorities and obtain data and case studies to support policy arguments.

2.       Fundraising. Coadec currently has one year's worth of sponsorship funding, but we will need to generate larger and more sustainable revenues going forward. The Executive Director's role will include seeking additional sponsorship as well as designing and implementing other revenue models.

The position will be based in a co-working space in Shoreditch.
