What the role involves
Reporting to the Managing Director of External Affairs, you will have experience of delivering public affairs campaigns with a demonstrable impact and change. You will be at ease developing relationships with Parliamentarians, Ministers and their advisers and other key influencers, as well as supporting integrated campaigns which involve patients, the media, elite influencers, health care professionals and supporters.

You are passionate about using your public affairs skills to deliver change. You must be ambitious and you want to work for an organisation that is working hard to find a cure for one of the UK’s most prevalent long term health conditions and you want to help us drive forward our campaigns for significant increases in investment in asthma research.
You will need
- Excellent knowledge of the UK’s political process, especially the working of the UK Parliament and decision making in healthcare, life sciences and medical research;
- An awareness of the working of the EU institutions including the Parliament and Commission or a willingness to learn quickly about them;
- To have an understanding of key drivers in health policy and life sciences;
- Experience of organising high profile political events;
- To be able to engage the public in campaigns and public affairs;
- Be able to write copy for publications, blogs, thought pieces and so on.
