Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A pivotal role with a high profile membership body with a diverse stakeholder base, consumer and industry included.

Reporting to the Director of Communications and leading a team, you’ll create and roll out proactive PR campaigns and lead a busy press office, managing media response to industry issues and crises, and acting as spokesperson with print and broadcast media. In addition to providing senior level counsel to senior management and to members, you’ll manage content and messaging across all external channels, including digital, to ensure consistency and quality.

With extensive media relations experience, including the ability to represent the organisation and the industry in broadcast opportunities, you’ll demonstrate keen judgment and creative thinking, and you’ll be quick to respond in the event of issues and crises. Strong leadership skills are a must and you’ll be skilled in building relations with senior level stakeholders and providing sound advice.
