We’re looking for a highly literate individual to write policies and procedures to a high standard at all levels of an organisation to join us as a Policy Advisor.

As one of the UK’s leading housing associations, Catalyst is here to make a purposeful difference by providing housing solutions for those who can’t afford a home without our help. We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. By doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities. Put simply, we’re committed to our social purpose - in every part of our organisation. And, we always seek to do better. If you do too, read on.

As a Policy Advisor, you’ll work with areas of the business to develop, review and write policies, procedures and supporting documents that translate legislation, regulation and best practice into our organisational delivery. Your policies and procedures will link Catalyst’s strategic aims to operational practice. Essentially, it’s about providing excellent customer service to colleagues and customers.

This role would suit a graduate or someone in housing, the third sector or government who is highly literate and has an understanding of role of policy and procedure in driving service delivery. You will work with a wide range of teams developing and reviewing policies and procedures. You also have the ability to develop policy responses that meet competing requirements and be quick to acquire knowledge of, and expertise in, business areas outside your existing experience. Researching complex issues swiftly and accurately also comes naturally to you, as does communicating your findings in a clear and concise way. What’s more, you are proactive, have excellent administrative, organisational, planning and prioritisation skills and work well both alone and as part of a team.

This role is suitable for flexible working. Catalyst offers a range of flexible working opportunities, including working at home and compressed hours.
