As the Policy & International Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for developing policy positions on key financial subjects, including pensions and investments, whilst also making representations to policymakers, regulators and other key stakeholders in the UK, Europe and internationally.

Reporting to the Head of Policy, this is a high profile role that will involve managing work programmes effectively to ensure quality of policy outputs, delivering effective, evidence?based responses to external consultations and identifying follow-up engagement opportunities when appropriate and prepare briefing documents and position statements on key policy issues to support the public affairs activities.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential knowledge skills and experience to be considered:

  • An established public policy professional with a background in working across international boundaries and an understanding of the public policy issues relevant to pensions, investment or financial services;
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to understand complex technical information and convey this to a range of audiences;
  • Demonstrable experience of working effectively to develop relationships with international stakeholders;
  • Proven experience of influencing policy makers at UK, EU and International level.
