Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

I am recruiting for an experienced Policy & Public Affairs Manager for a six month fixed term contract with a consumer group to join the stakeholder team, to help us manage our relationships with government, regulators and the media and another. By understanding the strategic issues that the organisation faces, and building trusted relationships at all levels, you’ll play a key role in shaping our response to an ever-changing world.

You’ll have had extensive experience dealing with stakeholders, both internally and externally. You’ll have a great understanding of public policy issues – and how they’re changing, domestically and internationally. You’ll be skilled at building trusted networks, both internally and externally, and will be able to support our board and executive team with knowledge and insights. Most importantly, you’ll be an excellent communicator who’s able to understand what’s going on behind the headlines and translate complex policy debates into plain English. You’ll have experience of designing and implementing an engagement strategy. You may have worked in or close to central government or for one of our other key stakeholders.
