Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Want to help young people speak truth to power and make positive change in their communities? Then this is the role for you.

As Programme Officer for the UK Youth Parliament and Youth Voice programme, you will be working across the team and with partners and Local Authorities to ensure that young people are supported and empowered to represent their peers and affect positive change for society. You will be working to ensure effective engagement of young people in the design and delivery of the programme, you will help to organise events (large, small, physical and virtual), coordinate democratic processes, and get involved with all activities that help to make the UK Youth Parliament the premier democratic youth representation body in the UK.

You will be a team player, ideally with experience of working with young people. You will bring your attention to detail and excellent communications skills to the table, along with a passion for youth voice. Experience of coordinating events and working with databases will be a distinct advantage.

It is a fixed term contract until the end of March 2025, renewable subject to funding.

We have a mixed model of home workers and those based in our London office, and so there is flexibility about where this post is based, including hybrid working for those based in London.
