The Joseph Rowntree Foundation is an independent organisation working to inspire social change through research, policy and practice. Together with the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, we want to see a prosperous UK where everyone can play their part. We are looking to recruit experienced people with the expertise that supports us in delivering our ambitious plans in order to have a positive impact on people and places in poverty in the UK.
We are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to help us maintain our position as one of the UK’s most respected think tanks – evidence-based, non-aligned, influential.
We want someone with public policy skills and knowledge to help us achieve positive change. You will need substantial experience of designing and implementing public affairs strategies, as well as a practical understanding of how to build high-level relationships and networks. Your communication and analytical skills will be excellent.
Working closely with our UK Advisers in Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland, you will ensure that our evidence-based solutions have the greatest possible impact on policy and practice across the UK, and that JRF is positioned to influence effectively and widely, now and in the future.
If you think you have the passion, intellect and experience we need, then we would like to hear from you.
The post is based in London, with regular travel (1-3 days per week with some overnight stays) between our York and London offices as well as occasional travel elsewhere within the UK.
