This course provides an introduction to the key business communication skills of writing and presenting. It is aimed at people who are not full time PR or communication professionals but sometimes have to write news copy for newsletters, media and websites and also present in public.

The course aims to introduce students to key communication skills, including:

- How to write clear, engaging, plain English copy …for example for websites and newsletters
- How to make clear and engaging presentations

Training Style and Materials
Trevor’s approach to training is fun, practical and interactive. There is minimal or no use of PowerPoint. Each student is given a course workbook at the start of the course containing all the key learning and the various exercises they will be working on. This is completed during the course and then taken away by the student for future reference.

Trevor Morris is Visiting Professor in Public Relations at the University of Westminster and an author, business consultant and mentor. He was formerly the CEO of Chime Public Relations, the UK's largest PR group
In over a quarter of a century in the PR industry he has successfully built and sold a major PR consultancy with margins of over 30%, been the CEO of the UK's largest PR group, worked for numerous major companies and organisations and written and lectured extensively.
He is the co-author of four books: PR- a Persuasive Industry? Spin, Public Relations and the Shaping of the Modern Media, Public Relations for Asia, Public Relations for New Europe and PR Today, all published by Palgrave Macmillan.
Former colleagues range from Lord Tim Bell and David Hill (Tony Blair's Director of Communications) through to Rosie Boycott (journalist and broadcaster) and Sophie Rhys-Jones (The Countess of Wessex).
