College Green Group, a specialist public affairs and strategic communications consultancy based in Westminster, has appointed George Beard as its new Head of Public Affairs.

George brings a wealth of experience advising clients across the property, energy, financial services and innovation sectors. Joining from Meeting Place, where he was Chief Operating Officer, George has also held consultancy roles at Speed Communications and BECG (now Cavendish). His appointment further strengthens College Green Group’s ability to deliver insightful, effective public affairs strategies for clients navigating changing political and regulatory landscapes.

Speaking on his appointment, George Beard said:

"In today’s complex policy environment, where stakeholder priorities are constantly shifting, clients need a public affairs partner that takes a connected, integrated and multi-channel approach - one that sees the bigger picture and delivers tangible results.

"The team is widely respected for its political insight and strategic counsel, and I look forward to working with colleagues and clients to shape campaigns that resonate and achieve lasting impact."

Thomas Borwick, Director at College Green Group, commented:

"We are thrilled to welcome George to College Green Group. His cross-sector experience, combined with his understanding of how to engage with policymakers and stakeholders, will be invaluable to our clients. George’s appointment reflects our continued growth and our commitment to building one of the most effective and dynamic public affairs teams in Westminster."
