“So…you need to talk about Innovation?”

How do you communicate innovation so you have an impact that resonates?
Do you want to learn more about innovation? What it is and what it means?

A recent report by Nesta, “Innovation Population”, showed that the public believe the UK needs more innovation – new ways of doing things, new ideas, new technology, and creativity. But as a communications professional, what does this mean to you? To drive innovation, we have to speak in the right language and communicate in the right way.

We are running the event so we can explain and explore why innovation is important and why we need to widen the agenda to engage the public - so we can all understand its value, garner support and engage in the debate.

This is the first in a new series of introduction meetings to Nesta for sectors interested in innovation, technology and the future.

Speakers:

  • Stian Westlake, Executive Director of Policy and Research;
  • Simon Morrison, Executive Director of Communications;
  • Bas Leurs, Learning Experience Designer, Innovation Skills;
  • Sonja Dahl, Senior Programme Manager, Innovation Skills.

Before you arrive, you may be interested in taking our quiz to find out what kind of innovator you are.
