The Future of Energy in the UK: Creating a Cleaner and More Affordable Supply

In recent years we have seen a shift in attitudes towards the future of our energy supply and the importance of embracing newer and more cleaner energy sources in the future. With oil and gas reserves in decline we must address energy security to ensure we have a secure and sustainable source of energy for future generations. Although dwindling supplies of oil and gas may seem problematic, it can also be a source of opportunity as we look to invest in low carbon technologies to support the creation of renewable and clean sources of energy.

With these key issues in mind, Policy Knowledge are delighted to present our Future of Energy policy briefing. This important event will focus on issues including:

  • The importance of affordable energy for all households and businesses
  • Investing in newer forms of energy
  • The debate around how we maintain a sustainable supply
  • Looking towards a smarter system where supply and demand influence each other
  • Assessing the need for change in energy
  • The benefits of community switching to tackling fuel poverty
  • Green investment and the green economy
  • The future of nuclear in the UK
