The Cabinet Office hosts a panel discussion to explore the factors that shape the relationship between Government and Parliament.

Speakers will include:

  • The Rt Hon Andrew Lansley MP, Leader of the House of Commons
  • Ms Angela Eagle MP, Shadow Leader of the House of Commons

The session will be moderated by Richard Heaton, First Parliamentary Counsel and Permanent Secretary for the Cabinet Office.

Following the panel discussion the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel will host

  • Instant Legislation Booths: Your policy ideas turned into law before your very eyes
  • OPC drafters will demonstrate how policy ideas are turned into legislation and will explain what the drafting process involves.

This unique experience will put the power back into your hands and will offer you a chance to translate your ideas into legislative provisions.
