Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

About you

You are an ambitious self-starter who has a good knowledge/interest in politics and local government.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Liaise with community groups and arrange meetings;
  • Organise public exhibitions and community event/drop in sessions;
  • Political and stakeholder research;
  • Draft letters, website content, newsletters and exhibition boards;
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by Account Manager or equivalent.

Essential Skills

  • A willingness to learn about the planning process;
  • Good verbal communication;
  • Confident, sociable and willing to share ideas freely;
  • A ‘can do’ attitude: we encourage all of our team members to contribute to ideas on how best to communicate our clients’ messages;
  • Experience in working to tight deadlines and the ability to multi-task;
  • Understanding of modern communication channels;
  • A proficiency in Office 365 software.

Location: London – Hybrid working, Monday, Wednesday Thursday in the office, Tuesday and Friday working from home if you wish to.
