Former Telegraph journalist Alex Singleton has joined The Whitehouse Consultancy on a project basis, following a strong first half of the year for the consultancy which has included the acquisition of clients including EDF Tax, Bregal Capital and Sensium Healthcare.

Singleton will begin working with the consultancy with immediate effect on several PR and public affairs campaign projects, including in the renewable energy and environment field and supporting their continued work for National Obesity Awareness Week.

The author of The PR Masterclass, Singleton has an extensive portfolio of TV and radio appearances (including Newsnight, the Today Programme and 10 O’Clock Live). He originally worked in the political think tank world which included periods as Research Director of the Adam Smith Institute and Head of the Globalisation Institute.

Carl Thomson, Director at The Whitehouse Consultancy, commented on Singleton’s appointment: “We’re excited to have Alex on board. His extensive experience in the media and the world of public policy will help support Whitehouse’s future growth and expansion following a number of important contract wins earlier this year.”

Alex Singleton said: “I’m delighted to be joining one of the best teams in the industry.”
