Crisis Communications, the consultancy which helps clients prepare and implement effective crisis communications strategies, has announced that Paul Breakwell has become the second consultant to join the team. Breakwell joins Crisis Communications from his role as Head of Marketing and Communications at Hampshire Fire & Rescue.
Breakwell brings with him a vast array of experience in the field of crisis management. He has worked in hostile media environments at both the Office of National Statistics during the 2011 census, and South West Water during the 1988 Camelford Water poisoning scandal. He also spent time with the Dorset Police where he dealt with the media on a number of high profile murder cases.
Tom Curtin, Founder of Crisis Communications, said of Breakwell’s appointment: “We’re delighted to have Paul joining our team. He has experience of providing media and communications support to complex and varied situations under crisis conditions. Our clients will greatly benefit from the expertise he brings to the role and the extensive support he will be able to provide them.”
Breakwell added: “Even during my periods outside of emergency services, I have always kept my hand on crisis communications work. I’m very excited to join the Crisis Communications team. Between us we have a wide range of marketing and communications experience across a variety of industries. I look forward to helping the company continue to go from strength to strength.”
