MHP Communications, one of the UK’s largest public affairs, PR and communications consultancies, has announced it is joining forces with independent Brussels-based public affairs firm, cabinet DN to create a new strategic partnership.

The exclusive relationship will see MHP’s current Brussels operation being amalgamated with the cabinet DN business over the coming three months. MHP’s clients with interests in Brussels will be serviced through cabinet DN, and cabinet DN will use MHP for their UK and London-based activities. The firms will pool their shared knowledge on pan-European issues, work together on wider international briefs and develop new products and services.

MHP Communications, owned by the Engine Group, is one of the largest PR and corporate communications consultancies in the UK. It has more than 170 people working across its disciplines of Corporate Affairs, Health and Health Global, Financial, Brand, Digital and Design.

Founded in 2005, cabinet DN is an independent consultancy offering public affairs and media services to clients seeking to influence the European Union. The organisation counts more than 30 in-house staff and advisers representing more than 20 nationalities. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, NGOs and government institutions.

Gavin Devine, Chief Executive of MHP, commented: “We are delighted to be joining forces with cabinet DN and excited about what we will be able to offer to current and future clients. I have known cabinet DN for many years, and I am well aware of its superb reputation in the Brussels market for quality work based on genuine insight and expertise, which neatly fits with MHP’s own strengths. This is the first step on a journey together which we hope will lead to many shared client relationships and an exciting future.”

Jacob Lund Nielsen, Managing Partner at cabinet DN, said: “We are thrilled to be entering a strategic partnership with MHP Communications, a formidable player on Europe’s most competitive communications market. We believe our combined expertise as consultancies gives us a superb opportunity to offer genuinely industry-leading public and corporate affairs services across the Brussels and London markets. We are pleased to have found partners whose values, approach and ambition matches our own and we look forward to developing our relationship over time.”
