Despite the international break, there has been plenty of action in the Premier League this month. Chelsea remains unbeaten at the top of the league whilst Southampton has surprised the majority of onlookers as they continue to defy their summer exodus with a start to the season few could have expected.

The PubAffairs Fantasy Football League, unlike the Premier League, has seen a shift at the top with Nicholas Vaughan (Vice President, Teneo Strategy) leap-frogging Neil Cardwell (PR Executive, Digby Brown) to claim first position overall.

Robert Oxley (Campaign Director, Business for Britain) and Don Wallace are the only other two managers who remain in the top ten from the end of August, as they are joined by James Court (Head of Public Affairs, Renewable Energy Association), Rebecca Goshawk (Account Manager, Bellenden), Dylan Sharpe (Head of PR, The Sun), Alan Gillam (Senior Parliamentary Researcher, Office of Gregg McClymont MP) and Alec Zetter (Communications Officer, PubAffairs).

September Points Table:

September’s Manager of the Month award is won by Dylan Sharpe, who pipped Nicholas Vaughan by one point with his impressive total of 176. Like so many other high-scoring teams in September, Sharpe’s team was captained by free-scoring Diego Costa, who has already notched 8 goals this season.
