At the close of September, which included an un-welcome international break, the PubAffairs Fantasy Football league is starting to take shape. Building on his good start, Joshua Willison (Partnership Co-ordinator at The Crown Estate) has profited from his Liverpool-dominated strike force of Sturridge and Suarez to move top of the league.

Alex Savage (Consultant, Open Road) has made his way up to second with Paul Noblet (Public Affairs Manager, Centrepoint) building on his good start to remain in the top three. The Gameweek's top score belonged to Lorna Russell (Account Manager, Lansons Communications), who amassed an impressive 81 points and sits in joint 5th place with Joe Emery of Birchwood Knight, both two points behind Tom Gatzen.

September's Manager of the Month award is won by Mike Forster who scored 187 points in 3 games! The Senior Parliamentary Researcher in the House of Commons enjoyed a successful September, his team 'Schneiderwin' benefitting from the free-scoring form of both Sturridge and Ramsay.
