There were huge sighs of relief from Fantasy Football managers all over the country as this weekend’s storm failed to affect any Premier League matches. After Gameweek 9 the PubAffairs Fantasy Football league is beginning to take shape, with the top 10 is dominated by familiar names. Joshua Willison (Partnership Co-ordinator, The Crown Estate) continues to lead the way, as he has done since early in the season.

Lorna Russell (Account Manager, Lansons Communications) leads the chasing pack, although only nine points separate 2nd and 10th. Making their way into the top 10 for the first time are Ed Leech (4th – Account Executive, Portland Communications), George Anastasi (9th – Policy and External Relations Adviser, Professional Contractors Group) and Talal Rajab (10th – Business Relations Manager, Industry and Parliament Trust).

October’s Manager of the Month is James McLoughlin (Associate Director, Bell Pottinger) who also managed to achieve the Gameweek’s top score with a huge 98 points, thanks largely to the inspired selection of hat-trick-scoring Luis Suarez as Captain. His significant points tally this week contributed considerably to his total of 214 for the month of October.

There is still plenty of time to get involved with 92 other members of the public affairs profession. To join the league, simply create your account and select your team on Barclays Premier League Fantasy Football, then join the PubAffairs Premier League using code 398432-102180.
