Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

About the role

We are looking for someone with a desire to progress, who is willing to learn and has an interest in building the future, to join Grayling Engage, our specialist stakeholder, community and digital engagement practice.

Our communications and engagement experience spans across a broad variety of sectors, including Government, property and development, energy, transport and infrastructure, health and the third sector.

The day to day

  • Draft materials such as issue briefings or policy statements for public consultations and community engagement plans;
  • Attend stakeholder and community consultation events;
  • Research and map out key stakeholders and influencers;
  • Learn and maintain good account management, mastering the likes of workback plans, cost trackers and actions trackers;
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the UK planning process;
  • Assist in the production of collateral materials, collaborating with Grayling’s design studio;
  • Demonstrate an awareness of key social media platforms and how they can be used for engagement purposes;
  • Assist with preparation of new business pitches and presentations.

Working Pattern: Full time, hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home).
