This role sits within our award-winning Energy & Sustainability practice, which partners with some of the most recognisable names in food and drink, sustainability and energy.

We’re looking for an Account Manager, or an experienced Senior Account Executive, to support our work delivering PR, public affairs and campaign strategies to a range of household name food,  drink and environment-focused clients, as well as supporting the ongoing growth of PLMR’s work in food, sustainability and energy.

If you enjoy a collaborative, fast-paced environment where every day brings something new, this role offers the chance to shape political and media campaigns, support senior leaders, and help clients raise their profile on issues that really matter. You’ll contribute to integrated programmes across PR, public affairs, advocacy campaigns and crisis support.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Delivering integrated political and media campaigns – from developing compelling pitches to shaping thoughtful public affairs activity

  • Providing day-to-day leadership across accounts, ensuring excellent service and spotting opportunities for growth
  • Supporting clients with clear, confident issues and crisis management
  • Monitoring political, regulatory and media developments across energy, sustainability and food and drink, and advising clients on the implications
  • Contributing to new business by identifying opportunities and shaping proposals and pitches
  • Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues as part of a collaborative, high-performing, purpose-driven team

As the role evolves, activities may be refined in line with your strengths, interests and the needs of the practice.

  • Proven experience managing client relationships and supporting the smooth running of accounts
  • Comfortable leading client calls and providing clear, confident day-to-day counsel
  • Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the British media and political system, and confidence pitching ideas and stories
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with clarity and calm
  • A proactive, positive attitude and a supportive, team-focused mindset
  • Experience in food and drink or sustainability communications is welcome, though not essential
