Want to lead the delivery of a cutting-edge public facing campaign on health inequalities in collaboration with a diverse range of partners? Have experience of confidently landing complex campaigns which require a savvy and strategic communications approach? Don’t mind what you campaign on as long as you help reduce inequalities?
Health Equals is a new multi-million pound campaigning initiative made possible by the Health Foundation. Its purpose is to ensure that what shapes health can be understood by the public so they can be involved in making change, as well as giving decision makers what they need to be progressive. Health inequalities are widening, the situation is complex and compounded by the cost-of-living crisis and so our campaigning must be targeted and high impact. We need someone who understands how to communicate simply despite complexity and can take the public with us by deploying effective and inclusive campaigning.
The emphasis of this first year of campaigning is on establishing Health Equals as a credible campaigning entity via it’s ‘headline campaign’. This is a public facing campaign with substantial advertising spend attached, and which has at its heart the desire to start changing the national conversation about what shapes health so that ultimately new policies can be supported that start to close the gap in inequalities.
Crucially, the post holder will oversee the delivery of the campaign in the real world in it’s first year, optimizing tactics and reach with audiences as the campaign unfolds, fold key learning back into Health Equals, its funder and members, and help set the scene for the next phase of delivery.
The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.
