We are recruiting for an Events Officer to coordinate planning for the flagship UK Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day and other Holocaust Memorial Day Trust’s events.

Job purpose and role

To coordinate planning for Holocaust Memorial Day Trust’s events, including the flagship UK Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day in January each year. To ensure that a wide range of stakeholders are reached, working sensitively to achieve the maximum reach and impact possible.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead on all aspects of the planning, logistics and implementation, including guestlist and VIP management for the annual UK Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day, with support and supervision from the Head of Communications;
  • Liaise with agencies on behalf of HMDT i.e. events management and production partners for the ceremony planning, logistics and implementation;
  • Support the development of content for the annual UK Ceremony for HMD;
  • Work with the wider HMDT team to support and deliver events throughout the year, including in person and online;
  • Lead on communications to maximise the reach and impact of HMDT events.
