Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Our legal work does not exist in a vacuum and this role will help to ensure that we build the necessary political and stakeholder support to increase the impact and effectiveness of our actions.

As we continue to expand our work across the globe, you will lead our organisational-level public affairs work, provide expert counsel to senior leaders and regional experts, and oversee the development of a policy unit to develop global policy positions on over-arching issues relating to our work.

Role requirements

  • Experience of developing public affairs and political strategies that support organisational strategy, and which delivers demonstrable positive impact;
  • Experience of national-level political engagement in multiple countries and regions;
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of politics in key jurisdictions, such as the UK, EU, US, Germany.

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by our Director of Communications, Chris Duncan. Chris joined ClientEarth in 2018 and is based in London. Before joining ClientEarth, Chris was Global Communications Director at Marie Stopes International.

Further Information

Our flexible working policy allows our people the choice to decide to work from home in the country where their contract of employment is issued for 80% of their month, with the other 20% of their month being office-based. We provide base IT kit to enable home working and reimbursement of up to £300 to cover additional equipment needed to ensure that you have an ergonomically sound work space.
