Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Do you want to be an integral part of improving the lives of people living with dementia? Do you want to be instrumental in driving major system and policy change at an exciting time for dementia policy across England, Northern Ireland, and Wales?

This fantastic post will work on evidence-based, collaborative, and innovative policy development with colleagues across our Advocacy & System Change team. The role will be central in determining what the Society thinks about the big issues affecting people living with dementia, such as diagnosis, research, and social care.

The Policy Officer will support Policy Managers to implement a policy development strategy and be an expert policy advisor to colleagues across the Society.

About you

You will be ready to challenge the status quo and identify action needed to make tangible change in dementia at national and local levels across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

  • You will be looking to hone your influencing skills in many different environments whilst engaging with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority;
  • You will show excellent attention to detail, and enjoy producing and presenting high quality, innovative content;
  • You will be a team player and ready to build consistency and understanding around our policymaking, while working on shared influencing priorities alongside others in the Advocacy & System Change team.
