Key Responsibilities and Duties
As a PR Account Executive in our East of England team, you will assist the PLMR team in providing high quality servicing to all our clients. To be successful in this role, it is critical that you have a deep, passion and interest in the British media and the intersection of news and politics, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will be well organised, highly motivated and able to work under your own initiative, meeting and driving forward on deadlines and projects. In this role you will gain experience of – and exposure to – all the main disciplines of consultancy life with a priority focus media relations.
This is a full time role in PLMR’s East of England team. You will be working from our Ipswich office 4 days per week, with the option to work from home on Fridays.
You will engage in a variety of tasks, which may include some or all of the following:

Drafting press releases for PLMR clients

Selling in’ press releases to journalists

Compiling media lists in support of a press release mailout

Undertaking detailed desk-based research

Drafting letters and liaising with the office of MPs or Ministers

Contributing to internal PLMR account meetings

Preparing “Live Actions Updates” for client meetings

Monitoring political events of relevance to PLMR clients

Providing colleagues with general administrative support as required

Developing a positive professional relationship with PLMR colleagues, and contributing to a thriving day to day working environment
