Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

We are looking for a Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer to join us who is passionate about influencing government, MPs and Lords to ensure the needs of people affected by blood cancer are at the heart of decision making.

The Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer will have a vital role in ensuring our mission becomes a reality. You will work in the Policy and Engagement Team and will lead on our relationships with MPs and members of the House of Lords. Working closely with colleagues including the Deputy Director of Policy, Campaigns and Engagement and the Policy Officer you will be responsible for developing a compelling and persuasive narrative to support our proposals to help people with blood cancer and their families.

You will have experience of working with MPs and their staff, understanding what will motivate them to support our work, and you will have an excellent knowledge of how Parliament works and how we can maximise our impact. You will also understand how we can engage the public to support our campaigning priorities via their local representatives and directly. Experience of working with parliamentarians in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland would be an advantage.
