WA Communications is looking for a new Account Executive to join our award-winning team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring consultant who is keen to learn, make a difference and get ahead in their consultancy career.

This is an ideal position for an ambitious new consultant. You’ll get involved across our client base, particularly in energy, transport and infrastructure, with flexibility to branch out into other sectors; broaden your core public affairs, policy and communications skills, and gain experience in business development. You’ll play your part in solving complex client problems, delivering creative communications campaigns on a range of interesting and purposeful issues, and producing research and insights to shape client programmes. You’ll expand your expertise across a range of channels, including media and social comms, driving communications and engagement to reach a variety of influential stakeholders and decision-makers. There’ll be excellent professional development support to help you develop and grow the core skills to move forward in your career.

ROLE SPECIFICATION & RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll likely be a recent graduate or in your early career with a genuine interest in politics, policy, media and current affairs. Qualities and skills we also value include:
- Good understanding of government, policymaking, media and communications
- Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate complex policy, regulatory and commercial issues
- A clear and engaging writing style, and ability to adapt your style depending on audience and platform
- A client-centric attitude that prizes accessibility, responsiveness and quality
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team working skills
- Organisation and planning, time management and attention to detail
- Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn
- Desire to develop strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Consideration and care for colleagues
- Experience in consultancy, policy or polling research, media or another related area welcome not essential
