Join the Network

We are looking to hire a Public Affairs Consultant to join our expanding team.

NorthPoint works where politics, regulation, reputation and the media intersect. We help organisations navigate that environment, influence policy and public discourse, and protect their standing when the stakes matter.

Our strength lies in understanding how decisions are made, how reputations are formed and how organisations can engage effectively with Government, regulators and the media. We provide senior counsel that helps clients anticipate change, manage risk and act decisively at the moments that matter most.

We advise organisations across the public, private and third sectors, from ambitious start-ups and scale-ups to established national and global outfits. We work across a broad range of sectors, with particular expertise in industries where political, regulatory and public scrutiny shapes commercial success.

This role encompasses both internal and external responsibilities, requiring an individual who excels in clear, direct communication. It is ideal for someone who:

  • Is a proactive individual with experience in public affairs or government relations.
  • Has strong understanding of Parliament, Government and how policy is shaped and influenced.
  • Has a political and/or public affairs network and is comfortable at networking events.
  • Is happy to get stuck in on new business growth.
  • Can bring a sense of humour and enthusiasm to the table (work doesn't have to be dull).
  • Has agency experience and looking for more autonomy
  • Can cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels (personality is key, no shrinking violets).
