Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Join the Network

The Public Affairs Executive will support Bacta’s government relations and communications activity.

Specific tasks will include:

  • undertaking political monitoring and research;
  • undertaking stakeholder mapping;
  • delivering engagement programmes;
  • organising events is Parliament;
  • drafting responses to Government consultation documents and/or Parliamentary calls for evidence;
  • campaigning using traditional and social media;
  • representing Bacta in stakeholder events.

Required Skills

  • Degree in politics, public policy or a related field;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Ability to quickly to become proficient in new subject areas or tasks;
  • Good organisational and time management skills, and proven ability to deliver high quality work within deadlines;
  • Enthusiasm and determination.

Reporting

The Public Affairs Executive will report to Bacta’s Executive Director.

Salary

Up to £30k pa, Initial appointment for 6 months.
