As a Senior Account Executive / Account Manager, you will be a key member of the PLMR Health and Social Care team providing high quality servicing to all our clients in the health and social care sector.

You will have proven experience in PR and media relations, preferably working in a busy press office, handling and responding to media enquiries, drafting long and short form content for media publication (such as press releases, blogs, and opinion articles), and contributing to the development of PR strategies.

You will ideally also have experience providing research and political counsel and advice in the fields of public affairs, government and media relations, having worked for a diverse range of clients or interests, and you will show aptitude for consultancy and management.

In this role you will progress your consultancy skills; attending to the day to day management of client accounts and maintaining a positive client relationship, spotting policy trends and identifying issues which might impact on client activity, beginning to develop new business ideas and initiatives alongside the senior management team. You will manage both junior and senior colleagues to ensure PLMR meet and beat client expectations at every level. You will contribute to new business ideas and approaches, with support from the wider team. You will be an excellent writer, and understand how to use print and online media tactics to advance the aims of our clients and PLMR.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well organised, highly motivated and able to work under your own initiative to meet and drive forward deadlines and projects. As a Senior Account Executive you will have good interpersonal skills and be able to delegate work. You will ideally also have begun to develop your own networks within both political and media circles.

Your role will be in our award-wining Health and Social Care practice. It is therefore beneficial (but not required) to have experience in this sector, but it is essential that you show an interest and willingness to develop your knowledge as a sector specialist.
