Senior External Affairs Manager, joining a rapidly growing Global Health Charity, based in London.

This newly created Senior External Affairs Manager role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced External Affairs Manager to set-up and new external affairs division within an existing external communications team. The External Affairs function includes Public Affairs, PR & Press, Corporate Communications and Celebrity Engagement.

As the Senior External Affairs Manager, working with the Head of Department, and managing a small team of External Affairs and PR Officers, you will lead the charities external affairs and communications activities to position the charity as an influential player in the cancer and healthcare sector. You will:

  • Manage the development of the annual integrated external affairs and communications strategy and plan;
  • Oversee the development and delivery of the public affairs, lobbying and influencing programme;
  • Lead a busy press office, managing proactive and reactive PR activity;
  • Develop engaging and persuasive messaging, communications and media campaigns to promote and engage audiences, increasing awareness and support.

Our client is looking for an experienced External Affairs Manager who has had exposure of setting up or developing and external division. Experience of wider external communications functions such as PR and Media will be advantageous, along with some line management experience.

Working from home currently, with a return-to-work pattern of 2 days from home and 3 days in the office when safe to do so.
