As a charity, YMCAfit is guided by the belief that every member of society should be able to access the health benefits of regular physical activity.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role where the successful candidate will have key responsibilities and be an important member of a hard working team. The successful candidate will support the senior management team of YMCAfit/YMCA Training in the achievement of its strategic objectives on education and the skills sector through the coordination of policy research, and development of parliamentary relationships.

The successful candidate will hold a degree or post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. politics, sociology, psychology, public policy or research); have a strong interest in current affairs (especially politics, education, employment and the skills-sector); a thorough knowledge of the political and legislative process and the workings of Parliament. They will also be a brilliant and confident all-round communicator capable of collating, analysing and producing research on parliamentary information from a wide range of media channels and qualitative and quantitative sources.
