Senate Media is seeking a talented writer to work on its Politics.co.uk website and client animation projects.

Working alongside both the Editor of Politics.co.uk and Senate Media’s Director of Production, the role will be evenly split between carrying out editorial tasks for Politics.co.uk and writing scripts for short animations with the commercial team.

Suited to a budding political journalist, the role will provide opportunities to write for Politics.co.uk, along with commissioning content, subbing and publishing pieces to the website and social media.

You would also be responsible for writing engaging animation scripts on a wide-range of topics, but usually with a policy or political focus. This element of the role demands both the ability to comb subject matter, picking out the most salient points, while employing plenty of creative flair to engage your audience.

We offer the chance to work with a great team, in a fast-paced environment, with time split between Senate Media’s offices in Clerkenwell and the editorial team's desk in Westminster.

The role would be ideally suited to someone with excellent copy-writing skills who is looking to get their foot in the door of the world of political journalism.
