Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

A highly reputable trade body is looking for an interim Public Affairs Consultant to join its team for between 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of the role becoming a permanent position. The organisation represents a sizeable portion of the industry in which it operates, seeking to publicise the industry's benefits to the UK economy, and guard and develop the reputation of its members.

Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs, the position requires close work with the Corporate Affairs team to engage stakeholders and parliamentarians, develop compelling campaigns on the core issues of the sector, and keep policy teams updated on key parliamentary debates through political monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner in the fields of public affairs and corporate affairs. Will be analytically minded and able to construct persuasive arguments and influential campaigns. Will ideally have a background focus in a consumer-focused industry.
