The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

​Our opportunity

​We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Public Affairs and Government Relations team in London.

​This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in UK politics and public policy, who has previous experience of working in a similar role looking to grow their expertise.

​As an Account Manager you will act as a day-to-day contact for clients, building trusted relationships and delivering consistently high level of service. You will work across a range of sectors, including financial services, energy, infrastructure and property and planning and working closely with junior colleagues and the senior team.  

​You will use your skills and experience to:

  • ​Build client relationships and manage smaller accounts on a day-to-day basis; 
  • ​Support the delivery of political engagement and influencing campaigns;
  • ​Monitor sector, policy and media developments and advise clients on emerging issues and opportunities; 
  • ​Contribute to new business activity, including research, proposal drafting and pitch development.  

Ideal for you if you have:

  • A strong interest in and experience with politics and government relations;
  • ​Demonstratable confidence in building and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • ​Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • ​Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to produce accurate, engaging copy;
  • ​Demonstrable integrity;
  • ​The ability to think clearly, rise to challenges, and work well both independently and as part of a team;
  • ​A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to lead while supporting junior colleagues.
