This week’s panel discussion comes just one week from election day, with the campaign very much in flux. On Thursday, attention will turn to last-minute polling, which continues to indicate substantial uncertainty in the final days.
Focus will also be on what first minister John Swinney’s plans for his party’s first 100 days in government will mean for Scotland should the SNP retain control of Holyrood, as well as a look at how the political leaders have spent their final week campaigning across the country.

Our  View from the Street: Live series is designed to help you cut through the political noise - unpacking party manifestos, analysing the latest polling, and focusing on what really matters ahead of 7 May.

We will continue every Thursday with a rotating panel of expert guests, running through to the week before the election.

Tune in for our next event at 12:45pm on Thursday 30 April to hear from:

  • Rachel Watson, associate partner at Charlotte Street Partners, and former political editor of The Scottish Sun
  • Alistair Grant, political editor of The Scotsman
  • Chris Deerin, Scotland editor of the New Statesman and director of think-tank Enlighten
The conversation will be chaired by our senior partner, and former editor of The Scotsman, Frank O’Donnell.
