Established in January 2002, PubAffairs is the premier network and leading resource for the public affairs, government relations, policy and communications industry.

The PubAffairs network numbers over 4,000 members and is free to join. PubAffairs operates a general e-Newsletter, as well as a number of other specific group e-Newsletters which are also available to join by completing our registration form.

The PubAffairs e-Newsletters are used to keep members informed about upcoming PubAffairs events and networking opportunities, job vacancies, public affairs news, training courses, stakeholder events, publications, discount offers and other pieces of useful information related to the public affairs and communications industry.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.

About the role

This role will be key in the Society’s aspiration to improve the lives of people living with and affected by dementia as set out in its New Deal on Dementia five-year strategy. This role will ensure we champion and maintain the prominent position of dementia on the political agenda across England.

This role will lead the public affairs team in England ensure effective engagement with; people affected by dementia, national and local government, policy makers and opinion formers, as well as the wider society in a social movement for change.

About you

You will have a strong background in public affairs and experience managing a team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the organisation’s parliamentary engagement strategy, with the objective to ensure dementia is on the political agenda for decision-makers in Government, parliament, and opinion leaders more widely.

You will have knowledge of the political landscape and empathy for the rights and aspirations of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
