WA are delighted to invite you to attend our next virtual WA event, ‘In conversation with Andrea Leadsom MP’, from 6-7pm on Tuesday 17th November 2020.

The first 1,000 days of children’s lives are critical for their development, and hugely impact their physical health, mental health and opportunity throughout their lives. The potential for the ‘levelling up’ agenda to support the early years is vast, and something we know is on the government’s agenda.

We are therefore delighted to be hosting this event with Andrea Leadsom MP as she undertakes her Review into Early Years Health, the first phase of which will report to the government in January. During the webinar, we will explore the following issues with Andrea:

  • An overview of the Review into Early Years Health, and recap on the findings from her 2018-19 inter-ministerial group on the early years;
  • How to address the early years ‘postcode lottery’;
  • The importance of infant mental health;
  • Lessons learnt from Covid-19;
  • How investment in early years can support the government’s ambitious ‘levelling up’ agenda.

The meeting will be attended by a group of senior figures from the education sector and policy worlds, and we hope that you are able to join us too for what should be a very interesting discussion.
