CPRE, the countryside charity, is looking for a ambitious, energetic and dedicated individual with a passion for public affairs to join our team.
This is an exciting time to join CPRE, a small charity with a great heritage and big plans for its future. We have recently re-defined our organisation’s purpose and set a new, six-year strategy with a focus on creating a thriving and accessible countryside for all and one that makes a significant contribution to addressing the climate emergency.
Our Campaigns and Policy department is focussed on securing positive change through a programme of parliamentary engagement, policy reports and public-facing campaigns. We have a proud track record of securing lasting positive change.
Working with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of public affairs plans, organising Westminster and party conference events programmes, monitoring legislation, influencing Bills and responding to government consultations. There will be opportunities to meet Parliamentarians and attend events representing CPRE, as well as working collaboratively with other charities and partners, including the wider CPRE network.
You will have some experience of devising and delivering political influencing and/or public affairs plans as well as political or public affairs experience. You will have good written and oral communication skills and strong administrative skills, including contact database management.
CPRE is an equal opportunities employer.
